Iman Behbehani is both a student and teacher of astrophysics. She graduated from the CUNY Graduate Center MS program in Astrophysics studying late stage massive star evolution. Under the supervision of advisors Dr. Jared Goldberg and Dr. Thavisha Dharmawardena, Iman constructed the density profile of red supergiant Betelgeuse's circumstellar material. As a Planetarium instructor at the Lower Eastside Girls Club, Iman leads planetarium tours of our universe for local field trips, and teaches after school astronomy programs for middle and high school girls. As a co-producer for local science comedy shows, Iman uses her experience in making science fun for children to make science fun for adults. She strongly believes that science should be fun and for everyone.
